SnapPDF Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 5, 2026

Overview

SnapPDF is a document scanning app that converts photos into PDF files. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data SnapPDF accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

SnapPDF does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

All scanned documents and PDFs are stored locally on your device. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party.

Camera Access

SnapPDF requests access to your device's camera solely to capture photos of documents for scanning purposes. Camera images are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded or shared automatically.

Photo Library Access

If you choose to import an image from your photo library, SnapPDF accesses only the specific photo you select. No other photos are accessed or scanned.

OCR (Text Recognition)

Text extraction from scanned documents is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No text or image data is sent to external servers for processing.

Data Storage

All PDFs and app data are stored in the app's private sandbox on your device. Data is not accessible by other apps and is removed when you uninstall SnapPDF.

Third-Party Services

SnapPDF does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Sharing

When you use the Share feature, SnapPDF uses Apple's standard share sheet. The PDF is shared only to the destination you choose. SnapPDF itself does not retain any record of sharing activity.

Children's Privacy

SnapPDF does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
